Health Information Management (HIM) systems all lead to the 1st Bacolod Healthcare Information Management (HIM) Conference this August 17 – 18, 2013.
The conference will highlight the stakeholders of HIM in Negros and aims to explore potential synergies in creating innovative platforms for delivering global HIM services; to discover the importance of HIM education to create jobs and investments for countryside development and to create a conducive ecosystem for HIM jobs and investments.
The conference is being led The Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for Information and Communications Technology (BNEFIT) together with Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and MedStar Philippines HealthCare Information Management Corporation.
The conference will include resource persons from the various industries associated with HIM within Negros and other regional and national centers of the healthcare information systems sector.
DICT Sec. Monchito Ibrahim, Raymond Ang of Edulynx, Butch Valenzuela of Visaya KPO, Lloyd Tronco of Medix and Judilyn Franco – Canete, President of Medstar Phils., among others.
The topics to be discussed and presented range from Philippine HIM Industry Outlook to Synergies for HIM in the Countryside.
Aside from the topics to be presented, panel discussions will be at the forefront of the conference. 5 Panel discussions with 9 resource panelists will be conveying their assessments and insights during the panel discussions.
Atty. Jocelle Batapa – Sigue, former NICP President, and Techblade Publisher Zeno Martinez will be among the panelists together with representatives from DICT and other industry stakeholders and partners.
The conference is divided into 2 tracks, Student’s Track on August 17 and Professional’s Track on August 18. Track 1 is for graduating students from all medical, health and information technology (IT)-related courses. Track 2 on the second day, delegates including various officials from all the municipalities and cities in Negros Occidental, together with Bacolod, top level executives from colleges, universities and training institutions, medical, healthcare and IT companies, national and local government executives, real estate developers and other private sector stakeholders.
