Two years after selling its mobile-phone unit to Microsoft Corp., the Finnish maker of telecom-network equipment said Tuesday that it plans to buy Withings SA, a French startup that was among the first companies to make Internet-connected devices that track users’ health.

Nokia Corp is planning to buy an internet connected user health tracker startup as a step into regaining its gadget business. Withings SA, a French startup in order to get back to its innovation roots.

Withings will be another level for Nokia that sold its mobile phone unit to Microsoft two years ago. This will be an entry for Nokia at the “connected health” market which is also included in “wearable tech” Nokia will utilize US191 million of its profits to acquire Withings.
